Customer Service from Shaklee

I have to brag on my business partner, Shaklee Corporation.  They really understand customer service and take it to the highest level.

Recently a good customer of mine called and asked if there was something Shaklee could do for him.  Seems his supplements were delivered on time by UPS and left at the front door as always.  However, on that day, his dog, a curious black lab, got to the box first and began investigating.

As the investigation continued, the dog managed to eat his way into the box.  Cardboard is sturdy, but no match to a curious dog, or cat for that matter when given enough time.  Once the package was opened, the dog began to really have fun.  Sniffing around, he found one bottle of OmegaGuard, (which is full spectrum of ultra-pure, pharmaceutical-grade omega-3 fatty acids to support healthy heart, joint and brain function*. It is made with a proprietary multi-step molecular distillation process for the utmost purity and potency of omega-3s fatty acids, including EPA and DHA.)  The lab bit into the bottle, sampled a few of the capsules and decided that his particular need for fish oil was over rated!

Leaving the OmegaGuard for others, he then started in on the Cholesterol Reduction Complex (a proprietary formula with clinically proven ingredients that help prevent absorption of cholesterol and lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. When my customer realized the dogs curiosity had gotten the better of him, he took the dog to his veternarian for a check-up.  Other than a few loose stools, the dog was fine.  However, my customer’s supplements for the month were gone.

I had him call Shaklee’s customer service and explain that his dog had eaten his supplements!  After a good laugh, he called Shaklee and was given a full replacement of his 2 supplements that were destroyed by his dog.  Now that is amazing service to me.  Since it was not Shaklee’s fault the customer’s dog ate his delivery, the company had no obligation to replace for free the lost supplements.  But they did without question!  And my customer now has his supplements delivered to a different address so his dog does not have a chance to beat him to his delivery from Shaklee.
